- Quand on me demande ce que je cherche au marché aux puces ou dans les bacs d'occasion, Je réponds toujours: des disques d'accordéon bulgares (avant c'étaient les roumains). Ça fait marré les chasseurs de pépites, mais c'est pas du flan. Dimanche dernier j'ai eu de la moule et suis tombé sur cette galette d' Ibro Lolov, fameux accordéoniste gitan. Je vous la joue pour le plaisir des oreilles et la frime.

La marea nómada acerca estas maravillas a los puestos del mercado europeo. Apuesto que se encontrarían hasta en Moscú. Pero como resulta difícil viajar por allí, celebro el encuentro ocurrido la semana pasada, cuando conseguí esta maravilla por un par de monedas. Ibro Lolov era famoso por interpretar una música dinámica y festiva con su banda gitana en Bulgaria. Ahora suena en el plato de casa y en el blog. Bienvenido sea.
- The gypsies in Spain are pretty protective with the flamenco. They usually consider the genre as the nucleus of their identity. But if you listen to the evolution of the gypsy sound through the migration of the tribe from India to south of Spain you will notice the rich variation of the genre. Flamenco is typical from here. You won't find it in Bulgaria nor Egypt. The fire is still the same but the orchestration mutates with the local instruments. You won't find accordion, neither violin in flamenco even the typical derbuka is substituted by the recent appropriation of the Peruvian "cajón". I prefer the Turkish influences dragged in the Romanian, Yugoslavian and Bulgarian gypsy music. Ibro Lolov is a good example. Enjoy the party.
